Roswell Fall Show:

            Michael O’dette and Jimmy Hickman reported a fair turnout at the Roswell fall pull, with 22 tractors competing. Jimmy reported that the new track area worked out well, easy to groom and provided a good pulling area.

FFA Parade:

            The FFA parade, dinner and silent auction held in Loving NM got off to a good start. David McDonald and several club members participated in the parade through the little village town of Loving. Frank Ballard reported that the auction raised $6500 for the FFA chapter.

Nominations:

            Nominations were requested from a rather sparsely attended meeting, yielding several new names for a couple of offices. Connie Mac Smith and James Bryson worked on the nominations for officers. Connie Mac also is part of the nominating committee will contact several people nominated that were not in attendance for this meeting and will report to James so that ballots may be ready for the December meeting.

Misc:

            2009 ENMSF / PVCA Theme:

A motion was made by Connie Mac Smith to name the theme for the 2009 PVCA show in conjunction with the ENMSF, “The Harvest” thus allowing a variety of crops and various equipment that could be showcased during the 2009 fair, the motion was seconded by Katy Nymeyer and was approved w/o objection.

            Meeting Dates:

            It was noted that dates for future meetings should be examined more carefully as not to conflict with holiday weekends…i.e. Monday holidays and or events that would could conflict with our regular Tuesday meeting.
